After completing the Diagnostic Assessment, a Multimodal Treatment Plan is developed for each person or couple within the general Sexual Therapy Framework. Common Treatment modalities include:

›› Therapeutic Exercises
    - Pleasuring and Sensate Focus Exercises
    - Semans Procedure and Squeeze Technique
    - Kegel Exercises and Fantasy Exercises
    - Communication Exercises

›› Hypnosis and Relaxation Therapy
›› Desensitization and Retraining
›› Behavior Modification
›› Cognitive and Program Solving Therapy

The Treatment Plan regularly includes homework assignments" of practicing therapeutic exercises and learning from videotapes. It also frequently includes an educational component that explores the anatomy and physiology of sexual organs, sexual techniques, causes of sexual dysfunctions and common misconceptions. The effects of the sexual dysfunction or disorder on the partner, as well as communication and interpersonal skills, are often addressed.

To resolve the Sexual Dysfunction or Disorder, the Sexual Therapy Program works to bring about emotional, behavioral and attitudinal change, develop positive self-concept, increase knowledge, improve communication and develop sensuality.
