Dr John R.
May is Director of the Sexual
Therapy Program. He received a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology
in 1969 and has
been in full time private practice as a clinical
and consulting psychologist since 1971. He
was the founder of Columbia Counseling
Associates and has regularly consulted with
the federal government since 1971. He is a
member of a number of professional organizations in the fields
of psychology, hypnosis
and sexuality.
He has served as the President of the
Howard County Psychological Society and
the Maryland Psychologica Association. He
has presented seminars and workshops in
his areas of expertise, has published a number
of articles, and has participated in radio an-
nouncements and films.
Dr. May is licensed as a Phychologist by
the State of Maryland. He is listed in the National
Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and
is included in the International
Directory of Distinguished Psychotherapists.
He is also certified as a Sex Therapist by the
American Association of Sex Educators,
Counselors and Therapists and by The
American Board of Sexology.
